Fees & Grants

The information on fees and grants is the latest available at the time of going to press but is subject to change by the Department of Education, the Examining Bodies and the Governing Body.

Annual Tuition Fees for EU Citizens for 2011/12 are as follows:-

  • Higher Certificate (Level 6) €1,368
  • Ordinary Degree (Level 7) €1,454
  • Hons Degree (Level 8) (other than Engineering) €2,319
  • Engineering Hons Degree (Level 8) €2,950
  • Masters by Research €4,019 p.a.
  • PhD €4,019 p.a.

Tuition Fees on Undergraduate Courses are paid by the Department of Education on behalf of all students who qualify. Students who qualify are students who are citizens of member states of the European Union who are undertaking full-time undergraduate courses at Certificate, Diploma and Degree level for the first time.   Some non-EU students may qualify, depending on their legal status.

Registration/Exam Fees A registration/exam fee is payable by all students who do not qualify for grants or scholarships. The Registration Fee is currently €2,000.

Tuition Fees for International (Non-EU) Citizens are as follows:

Higher Certificate, Ordinary Degree and Honours Degree – €9,000 per annum. This includes the Institute’s registration/exam fee.  Post graduate fees are €10,000 per annum.
